Go Fishin! - Gigajam Animated Short Film (2024)
This project was made during GIGAJAM 2023 which is a 36-hour creative competition hosted by the A&M chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH.
Rigging - Wilfred The Baby Seal Rig

Understanding the bone structure for a seal was definitely the most difficult part of this project. Since I have worked with an animal whose bones aren't flat on the ground, I decided to only have a FK rig to save time for animation and debugging for Unreal Engine as we used Alembics to import them in.
Modeling - Wilfred The Baby Seal

Wilfred was sculpted using Nomad Sculpt on the iPad. I then retopologized and UV unwrapped him by quad-drawing the denser .obj sculpt in Maya 2022.
